Senior Teaching Assistant
- Daily Rate: £90 - £100

I am currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience in primary schools to join me in supporting my partner schools across Doncaster and Rotherham. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in covering PPA, absence cover, and leading interventions for phonics and numeracy. This role is well-suited for someone who has taken on additional responsibilities akin to that of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide PPA and absence cover across various classes within primary schools.
- Lead targeted intervention sessions for phonics and numeracy to support student learning.
- Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver effective support to students.
- Monitor and assess the progress of interventions and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and learning environments.
- Support the social and emotional development of pupils, acting as a role model and mentor.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant within primary schools.
- Experience covering PPA, absence cover, and leading interventions.
- Familiarity with the primary curriculum, particularly phonics and numeracy.
- Ability to take on responsibilities similar to those of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to supporting teachers and engaging with students.
