Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team for our Client in Rotherham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting materials from customers across the country in a walking floor trailer.
Duties:
- Driver Class 1 HGV in a safe manner
- Transport and collect goods over local or long-distance routes
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving - Keep a Log of POD's
- Operate walking floor trailers
Pay and Shifts:
- Monday - Sunday - Must be able to pick up at least one overtime shift of a weekend a month
- 3AM-6AM start times - Average10 hour shift
- 1-5 nights out per week £40 payment per night out
- £15 Per hour Mon-Fri
- £18 Per Hour Sat&Sun
- Up to £1200+ weekly earnings!
Qualifications:
- 1+ Year Class 1 HGV CAT C+E entitlement
- Valid CPC and Tachograph Card
- Extensive knowledge of applicable HGV driving rules and regulations
- No more than 6 points for MINOR offences - None of the following can be accepted: DD,DG,IN,CD,TT.
- Good customer service skills as you will be customer facing at the point of delivery
- Able to carry out manual handling
