Maintenance Electrician

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client's team in Cramlington. Our client is a leading company in the Engineering industry, specialising in high volume manufacturing. The successful candidate will play a key role in the maintenance and development of electrical systems and equipment within their manufacturing environment.

Salary: £38K+

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and modification of equipment as required.
  • Conducting root cause analysis of breakdowns and implementing effective reoccurrence prevention plans.
  • Collaborating as part of the maintenance team, ensuring good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers.
  • Operating access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers.
  • Utilising the PC for accessing information, emails, and completing reports.
  • Training and mentoring apprentices.
  • Working in a safe manner and driving positive behaviour in line with the company's health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Carrying out any other duties as reasonably expected.

Key Requirements:

  • Time served electrician with experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Strong electrical background with a good working knowledge of PLCs.
  • 17th or 18th Edition qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Good organisational skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Continuing to develop planned preventative maintenance procedures, with an emphasis on breakdown prevention.
