Sale Representative - Remote/Office

Primary responsibilities

The primary role of the Sales Person is to identify sales revenue opportunities. To work those opportunities, through a standard sales process to closure, and then retain a professional relationship with the client to upsell, cross sell further business.

The Sales Person will achieve this by researching and generating leads, building and nurturing relationships with clients and partners (where appropriate), developing strategic plans with Partners and Prospects with a view to closing contracts for the sale of cybersecurity services.

The primary goal for the Sales Person is to expand the company's market presence, drive revenue growth, and create mutually beneficial partnerships that align with the Our client's objectives.

The Sales Person will serve as a bridge between Our client and its target market and utilise their strategic thinking, networking skills, and market insights to drive the company's overall growth trajectory.

The role reports to the Chief Revenue Office (CRO).

Specific responsibilities

The Sales Person will:

  • Lead Generation: Generate leads through various channels, such as networking events, conferences, online platforms (LinkedIn), telemarketing, referrals and leveraging the BDM (L1) functions. This involves building a pipeline of potential clients, partners, or customers.
  • Building Relationships: Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, clients, partners, and industry influencers is crucial. The Sales Person will need strong interpersonal skills to establish trust and credibility.
  • Partnerships and Alliances: Explore and negotiate partnerships, alliances, and collaborations with other companies to leverage synergies and expand market reach.
  • Sales Strategy: Work closely with the CRO and sales team to develop effective sales strategies, pricing models, and value propositions to win new business and achieve revenue targets.
  • Pitching and Presentations: Present the company's services to potential clients and partners. The Sales Person must articulate the value proposition and tailor their presentations to the audience. The leads will when be worked to closure.
  • Market Penetration: Develop strategies to enter new markets or expand the company's presence in existing markets as part of the role. This might involve analysing market entry barriers, regulatory requirements, and local customer preferences.
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Track the performance of business development initiatives, analyse metrics, and adjust strategies as needed to optimise results.
  • Pipeline Management: Daily management of the sales pipeline by tracking and prioritising leads, prospects, and opportunities is crucial for maintaining a steady flow of business. To use the standard company tools for this purpose.
  • Feedback Loop: Provide feedback from the market to internal teams, such as product development and marketing, to refine offerings and messaging based on customer needs and preferences.
  • Forecasting: Provide accurate weekly sales forecasts and projections based on the sales activities and helps with resource allocation and planning.
  • Continuous Learning: Supported in staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape is important for effective business development.
  • Experience: A results-driven and seasoned Sales Person with 1-3 years of experience in the cyber security market. The Sales Person will have a fair understanding of the industry's intricacies, combined with their strong sales understanding, and has consistently delivered exceptional growth and revenue outcomes for their clients and employers.
