Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (6 months)

Are you a Finance Manager looking for an exciting challenge? Our client, a leading charity organisation, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to take control of their finance department. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of finance within the organisation, providing financial guidance, analysis, and support to the management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling Xero connected banks, including current accounts, resident accounts, and savings accounts.
  • Tracking and allocating transactions to appropriate cost centres.
  • Managing prepayments and accruals through the finance SharePoint and Xero journal.
  • Reviewing trial balance and ensuring account lines are correct.
  • Overseeing the reconciliation of petty cash tins and accounts.
  • Performing Soldo reconciliation, including downloading reports, reconciling transactions, and chasing missing receipts.
  • Analysing payments for reimbursement and transfers of funds.
  • Conducting residents' personal money reconciliation through online portal.
  • Managing services account transactions and reconciling them with statements.
  • Entering and tracking bills received on Xero, both for SPROC fee invoices and other expenses.
  • Approving Direct Debit requests and updating budgets on Xero.
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and reports for the CEO and DOO.
  • No direct reports apart from an apprentice

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role.
  • Strong finance skills, including bank reconciliation and budget management.
  • Proficiency in using Xero, SharePoint, and online banking.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
