Head of Finance, VC Backed SaaS Technology, London, £80 -90k + bonus
We are working in partnership with a rapidly scaling, VC-backed SaaS business to assist them in securing a Head of Finance. This pivotal role will involve supporting both the Senior Leadership Team and the VC firm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day finance operations to ensure the seamless functioning of core business-as-usual (BAU) finance processes. This includes managing a bookkeeper and ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, reconciliations, and monthly closures.
- Carry out in-depth assessments to identify and implement efficiencies within the finance function, including software and process updates, staff development, and the introduction of automation. Provide ongoing support for continuous improvements in reporting metrics and the resolution of operational finance issues.
- Develop and manage consolidated cashflow and balance sheet forecasting models. Regularly present financial reports to the investors and board.
- Review and improve monthly management accounts and reporting packs. Ensure clear and timely communication with the Senior Leadership Team and investors, implementing standardised reporting practices to optimise investor relations.
- Assist the CEO in managing fundraising efforts, overseeing financial modelling, and maintaining investor communications. Offer support with forecasting and investor updates throughout ongoing fundraising activities.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant; ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CA etc
- Proven experience in SaaS focused Start Up or Scale Up
- Strong understanding of Financial Modelling, Scenario Planning, etc
- Experience within a VC or PE environment
- Proven exposure to fundraising rounds
- Business partnering experience to be able to collaborate with Senior Leadership.
