Family Solicitor

Our Client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Family Solicitor to take over an existing caseload with a strong emphasis on Financial Remedy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to head up and further develop our established Family Law Department. This is a permanent position with both full-time and part-time options available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take over and manage an existing caseload, with a primary focus on Financial Remedy cases.
  • Handle a wide range of family law matters including divorce, child custody, domestic abuse, and cohabitation issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear, concise, and empathetic legal advice.
  • Promote the firm to potential clients and fellow professionals, enhancing the firm's reputation.
  • Undertake advocacy in Family Court as required, representing clients in various proceedings.
  • Prepare and present cases confidently, ensuring the best possible outcome for clients
  • Manage Legal Aid cases efficiently, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
  • Complete necessary documentation and maintain accurate records for Legal Aid clients.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, providing support and sharing expertise.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of department strategies and initiatives.
  • Utilize and maintain a fully automated case management system.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Must be 5/10 years qualified as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
  • Panel Membership preferred but not essential.
  • Extensive experience in family law, with a particular emphasis on Financial Remedy.
  • Proven track record of managing a diverse caseload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using IT and fully automated case management systems.
  • Strong advocacy skills with the ability to represent clients in court.
