Job Title: Transport Administrator
Salary: £25,600
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday - 8-4pm (Half an hour unpaid lunch, 37.5 hours per well)

They are looking for a Transport Administrator to join their team in supporting the Transport Manager with the day-to-day logistics within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage third-party transport administration, including planning, booking, and ensuring efficiencies.
  • Report vehicle defects, raise invoices, and manage charges/recharges for vehicle leasing, repairs, and hire periods.
  • Create and report monthly KPIs, collaborating regularly with the Transport Manager.
  • Assist in timely processing of claims for damages, lost loads, or haulier inefficiencies.
  • Secure competitive delivery rates and services, and S&I orders with approved haulers.
  • Collate and upload delivery issues from third-party haulers, monitor inbound PODs, and manage held stock returns.
  • Cross-check transport invoices, raise credit requests, address discrepancies, and manage purchase orders from entry to MIGO.
  • Conduct daily route checks, manage supplier quality control, maintain company FORS standards, and perform relevant debriefs and reporting.
