Woodwork/Metal Teacher LN7

Aspire People are working with one of our partner Grammar schools who are looking to appoint a full-time Teacher (QTS) or Instructor (bachelor's degree in the related field with hands on experience).

Start date: ASAP.

Hours: 08:30am - 16:00pm

Location: Lincolnshire LN7

Position: Full time, long term with a possibility to become permanent

Pay: 110-160£ per day

Age group: KS3-KS5 (Y7-13)

This is a varied teaching role, suitable for a DT Specialist. There would be a mixture of Woodwork and Metalwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging and innovative lesson plans that foster creativity and practical skills in woodwork/metalworking.
  • Guide students through hands-on projects, from conceptualization to completion, instilling a sense of pride in craftsmanship.
  • Incorporate safety protocols and best practices into all activities, ensuring a secure learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate woodwork and metalwork into cross-curricular initiatives and project-based learning opportunities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Inspire a love for design, craftsmanship, and problem-solving in every student you teach.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or relevant field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant certification.
  • Demonstrated expertise in woodwork/metalwork, with a strong portfolio of projects.
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
