Position: SEN HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
Location: Latimer, West London
Specialisms: Autism, SEMH, EBD (Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties) and PTSD
Contract Type: Permanent
Start Date: September 2024
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Salary: Grade 6, Point 20-25 Pro-rata
?? Key Responsibilities:
- Individual and Group Support: Provide 1:1 and small group support across various lessons, including literacy and numeracy.
- Lesson Preparation: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging teaching and learning activities.
- Intervention Planning: Develop and prepare resources for learning activities tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Motivation and Progression: Use structured, interesting teaching methods to motivate and advance pupils' learning.
- Referral Identification: Identify pupils needing further support from external professionals like Educational Psychologists and Counsellors.
- IEP Implementation: Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.

- Higher Level Teaching Assistant Certificate (or equivalent)
- Proven experience working with pupils with SEND
- Experience in managing challenging behavior
- Ability to teach individuals and small groups effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
