Our client, a leading world-class aerospace material supplier, specializing in supplying a comprehensive range of chemicals, paints, adhesives, sealants, composites, and consumables tailored for the aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) sector, are looking to recruit an IT Technician , based at their offices in the Greater London area.
To be considered candidates must have 3rd line support experience. More senior level candidates such as Network Engineers will also be considered.
On Offer:
- An attractive salary (up to £35K), dependent on skills and experience.
- Monday to Friday working pattern, 8:30am - 5:00pm (Full Time office based)

Main Purpose of the role:
The IT Technician acts as the face of IT, so an approachable and friendly attitude is essential. You will play an important role in providing strategic, routine and emergency IT support to users. Ultimately, you should have a flexible working attitude and able to work under tight deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities of the IT Technician:
- First point of call for any IT related issue.
- Resolve infrastructure and system incidents.
- Carry out routine proactive tasks to ensure availability of systems.
- Promote a positive team environment and be totally committed to provide the support.
- Undertake general troubleshooting and investigative work with all types of Hardware and Software.
- Setup new users and configure their workstations or laptops.
- Improve IT Systems, processes, policies in support, better reporting, information flow and management.
- Inspect all temperature monitors, printers / copiers and other IT resources.
- Manage and implement a log of all in progress and outstanding IT related issues.
- Be available for ad hoc "out of hours" technical support.
To Be Considered:
- 3rd line support experience or greater is essential to be considered
- Good communicator both written and verbal.
- Proven experience in supporting and coordinating ERP systems will be beneficial.
- Full car owner - prefered.
- Good general education and numeracy skills - graduate calibre.
- In-depth knowledge of ERP system functionalities, configurations, and integrations. Ability to proactively prevent problems and able to produce timely and high-quality results.
- Good communicator both written and verbal. User Technical Support Networking and PC Assembling.
- Managing firewalls and switches.
- Microsoft 365 user administration.
- Manage servers and backups on Azure.
- Monitor virus alerts and manage PCs.
- Check WSUS and release updates.
- Manage outlook rules and email changes.
- Hardware - Assembling, installation and repair of PCs.
- Software - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
