Head of Quality Assurance | Bristol | Fixed Term

Rocasa Consulting is looking for a Head of Quality Assurance and Service Improvement to join the team of a vibrant social housing company at their Bristol's branch. The contract will start in July and run until the end of November. The pay rate will be £35.84 per hour (equivalent of £250.88 per day) - based on 40 hours per week.

Driving license and access to own vehicle are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and advise on Compliance matters in registered care services and support services.
  • Lead the development and design of the Care & Support quality assurance and compliance systems to meet all regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that the quality assurance framework has clarity of outcomes so that managers and executive team members have the information they need to ensure that services are being planned and performance managed effectively.
  • Lead on quality initiatives in relation to new business, ensuring quality measures are appropriate and that services are compliant and all risks managed effectively.
  • Lead regular individual service reviews to check that standards are being upheld against regulated standards and produce improvement action plans where necessary.
  • Support operational teams to manage any quality related interventions to ensure that compliance and good practice is maintained.
  • Identify good practice both internally and externally and promote ways of implementing good practice and innovative approaches within relevant services.
  • Lead the work of the Quality Assurance Team within a highly performance driven framework.
  • Work closely with the operational team to ensure data is collated from a range of sources effectively to improve quality and performance of service provision.
  • Keep up to date with research and changes in relevant legislation, guidance, regulation or practice standards to inform best practice and best use of resources.

Essential requirements:

  • An in-depth knowledge of the national agenda and current policy and regulatory issues in the housing, care and support sector.
  • Experience in developing and managing quality assurance systems.
  • Ability to assess and manage risk.
  • Good leadership and motivational skills.
  • Highly developed oral and written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels, including senior management & Board members.
  • Ability to think laterally and develop creative and innovative solutions.
  • A confident and effective decision maker.
  • Able to work under pressure and scrutiny and deliver results to tight deadlines whilst demonstrating high standards of personal resilience and integrity.
