Our client, a leading pharmaceutical organisation, is seeking a Lab Technician I to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

As a Lab Technician, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting routine laboratory experiments and tests using standard and specialised equipment, following defined procedures.
  • Assisting engineers in developing and defining tests and procedures for new projects.
  • Collecting and documenting test data accurately.
  • Communicating effectively with other departments to share test results.
  • Learning and applying the organisation's processes, procedures, and equipment consistently.

In addition to your technical skills, our ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • A solid understanding of quality systems and a commitment to working safely.
  • Previous experience in a medical R&D environment would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • The capacity to work independently and demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • The ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Ideally, 6 to 12 months of experience working in a R&D Laboratory environment.

The start date for this position is 10th July 2024, with a 12-month contract. There is a possibility of contract extension based on performance and project requirements. The role offers a competitive salary of £28,995.50 per annum, equivalent to £14.87 per hour, and will be based at our client's location in Wimborn, Dorset. Travel is not required for this role.
