Through its Securities Services (SeS) operating business, Deutsche Bank operates one of the world's primary domestic custody franchises offering financial institutions and corporate clients a comprehensive range of core services, including custody and clearing and fund administration services. SeS is a core part of the Corporate Bank franchise, alongside Cash Management, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services.

Fixed Income and Currencies, FIC, is within the Investment Banking division of Deutsche Bank, We are seeking an experienced Technology Lead / Programme Manager to drive the Custody Transformation programme (NextGen) within the SeS Deliverable (KD), a Technology, and operational transformation which will create a more scalable, cloud enabled and cost-efficient platform across multiple markets and geographies.

This role spans the management of multiple squads across the NextGen Tribe driving strategic change. The role requires a self-starting attitude to identify impediments, a keen eye for risk identification, an ability to unblock issues to enable engineering teams to deliver business prioritised outcomes, on time and within budget - experienced Change Leader.

Additionally, you will have skills that ensure squads adhere to cross Deutsche Bank initiatives, controls and engineering best practices. You will be expected to influence the business and engineering community and indeed contribute to solutions that comply with the Architecture Blueprint and with the Target State Architecture of the Bank. The role will be business facing and requires strong senior stakeholder management skills, the ability to handle many projects in a program at any one time and the ability to influence across the business, operations and technology teams.

Your key responsibilities

  • Driving and supporting multiple technology teams in an agile setup, across many projects of work in a high paced, dynamic environment unblocking issues with delivery and driving technical solutions for complex business problems
  • Contributing or performing deep-dive reviews, bringing together the business, operational and technical expert to design and produce solutions to improve the CB strategy
  • Guiding prioritization of delivery, ensuring maximum business value can be achieved by the tribe
  • Human resource Capital management : Building /Mentoring and growing high performing and innovative teams participating in people reviews
  • Effectively managing capacity, team size as per budgets and the book of work demand
  • Reporting at Steering and Operational committees, which may include SeS and/or Corporate Bank Exco members

Your skills and experience

  • Experience of driving and delivering complex technology programmes in a banking or financial services environment using agile practices and having a product mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders. Ability to facilitate group sessions. Excellent communications skills, ability to respectfully challenge stakeholders at all levels think about differing options
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery
  • Proven history of implementing multi-year books of work including understanding of how the technology roadmap can be achieved by the plans and providing visions of the plans to senior stakeholders
  • Good understanding of custody and clearing business
  • Strong MS-Office skills and experience with modern SDLC tools - JIRA, SharePoint, ALM, Confluence - is a plus
