Location: Halton, Cheshire

Salary: £29,777 - £32,076 per annum

The Role

The Highway Development Team help to shape new development in Halton, to protect the safety of Highway users and enable active, sustainable and inclusive travel.

They are looking for an Asset Engineer, and this role would be suitable for a recent graduate or someone with a relevant combination of qualifications and experience.

What will I be doing?

  • Assisting senior colleagues in maintaining and developing highways asset databases
  • Provide support in the assessment and prioritisation of planned and reactive programmes of work
  • Support the preparation and development of the Highway Asset Management Plan (HAMP) to enable cost effective maintenance of the Highway network

Skills and Qualifications

  • HND in an engineering discipline or equivalent technical experience
  • Knowledge of appropriate legislation and construction standards
  • Analytical and interpretive skills
  • Proficiency in the use of appropriate software.
