About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join a dynamic team. The primary responsibility is to organise the haulage of manufactured products from two national depots to customers across the UK, using third-party hauliers. This involves coordinating customer orders into full loads, obtaining fixed quotes for haulage, and liaising with our depots, customers, and hauliers to ensure smooth deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organise the transportation of full loads of products to customers across the UK.
- Obtain fixed quotes for haulage and coordinate with third-party hauliers.
- Liaise with depots, customers, and hauliers to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Process goods received, including arranging customs clearance and processing purchase invoices.
- Handle haulage invoices and obtain and file Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
- Complete customs entries for incoming goods by truck.
- Monitor and track shipments, resolving any issues that arise.
- Maintain records of all logistics activities and provide regular reports.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Good communication skills, including a confident and polite telephone manner, and the ability to write concise and effective emails.
- Experience with Word and Excel is useful, but you will primarily use our bespoke IT system.
- Strong team working skills and a willingness to support and help others.
- Experience in logistics and transport planning is beneficial, along with regional geographic knowledge.
Other Information:
- Office-based position with free parking.
- 40 hours per week, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
