Corporate Bank and Investment Bank Operations is a fully integrated, leveraging a front-to-back aligned delivery model providing transaction, reporting and cash management services to Deutsche Bank's multi-asset global businesses including IB - FIC Sales and Trading, Origination and Advisory (O&A) and Corporate Bank. Operational services include core trade date middle offices; Operations Client Relationship Management (OCRM); clearing and settlements, asset servicing, payments and cash management, margin and liquidity management, regulatory reporting, and operational control.

In this role you will partner with the global and regional heads in the design, planning and execution of and operations group strategy, with the goal of improving client service, risk management, control, and processing efficiency.

Your key responsibilities

  • Drive the multi-year operations strategy, defining OKRs and KPIs/KRIs to showcase business impact and value.
  • Forge strong partnerships with key stakeholders to define the Target Operating Model (TOM), align with technology investments, and ensure business development priorities. Develop a global operational resiliency strategy and represent the firm in industry forums.
  • Stay ahead of industry developments and leverage AI and emerging technologies to drive innovation. Conduct market research to inform strategic priorities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Utilise industry benchmarks to deliver a best-in-class model and create efficient governance mechanisms to monitor progress and benefits.
  • Partner with and support global functional heads to execute the operations transformation strategy, enhancing client experience, risk management, and efficiency. Align strategy with financial commitments.
  • Manage global process changes with robust change management, including automated testing and adherence to business resiliency, audit, and regulatory standards.

Your skills and experience

  • Solid background in financial services, focusing on Strategy and or Investment Banking.
  • Exceptional communicator, skilled in formulating and implementing complex strategies with clear messaging.
  • Data literate, delivering scalable insights and leveraging AI/ML for enhanced analytics and efficiency.
  • Ability to transform ideas into business solutions and driving operational excellence.
  • Financially disciplined, adept at budget management and building sound business cases.
  • Strategic problem solver, capable of both tactical and strategic thinking.
