Are you an experienced Senior Development professional seeking a new and rewarding opportunity to lead and make a tangible impact on the lives of others?

Livv Housing Group provide 13,000 homes across Liverpool City Region and the North West, plus apprenticeships, training, health and local projects to build flourishing communities and they are looking for a new Head of Development to play a pivotal role in the organisation's ambitious plans to deliver over 300 new homes a year.

Your role will help shape, influence and lead on the delivery of the Development Programme / Strategy, including a broad range of mixed tenure schemes such as affordable rent, shared ownership, rent to buy, older persons, open market sales and PRS

Key responsibilities and priorities for the role:

  • Lead and manage the performance and delivery of the Development Programme, from inception to end of defect liability period.
  • Appraise and assess schemes for Board approval, including the acquisition of land and existing buildings.
  • Continuously seek new development ideas and manage a pipeline of financially viable opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Present information at senior levels and collaborate with the management team to deliver exceptional customer service and offer value for money.

Required skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
  • Professional qualification from a relevant institution (CIOB, RICS, CIH)
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in leading development teams and partnership working.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Knowledge of the social housing sector and understanding of the Government Housing Agenda.
  • Proven ability to manage development programmes, budgets, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Highly organised, customer-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
