Job Description:

Overview:

We are seeking experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our team in Hounslow for one of our major logistics clients. As a Class 1 Driver, you will play a critical role in the smooth and efficient transportation of goods. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality service, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Class 1 vehicles, including articulated lorries, for various types of deliveries and collections.
  • Ensure the safe and timely transportation of goods to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-journey checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working order and report any issues.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery notes and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or issues that may arise.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of journeys, including mileage and fuel usage.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding health and safety, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 (HGV) driving license.
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
  • Digital Tachograph card.
  • Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and late evenings, as required.
