We are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA2) for Upper KS2 at a local school, focusing on Year 6 with an emphasis on higher-level Maths interventions. This role is ideal for a confident mathematician who is familiar with the KS2 Maths curriculum.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work part-time hours from 8:50 AM to 1:15 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Provide targeted Maths interventions for Year 6 students.
- Support students in understanding and excelling in higher-level Maths concepts.
- Assist in preparing materials and activities for Maths interventions.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor and report on student progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in KS2 Maths.
- Experience in an educational setting, particularly in providing interventions or support.
- Ability to engage and inspire young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
