We are recruiting for an Anti-Social Behaviour/Serious Violence Analyst to support a local policing team based in Winchester, Hampshire.
This role involves bringing your analysis expertise together with leading statistical / analysis packages overlaid with data from force systems. Your communication and strong negotiation skills will ensure the correct issues are identified along with the appropriate analytical product to inform the direction of neighbourhood patrols.
Key Responsibilities include (not exhaustive)
- Analyse Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and provide support in Serious Violence analysis using data from a range of sources (including partner agencies) to direct policing action and assess the success of police presence in particular areas
- Prepare and present the results of the analysis in the most suitable format to the audience (internal and external stakeholders)
- Collaborate with customers to identify and assist problem solving; be a subject matter expert in analytical tools and techniques, and use professional expertise and evidence to influence others across the force
- Use of analytical skills to identify Hotspots, including temporal analysis, to direct local patrols in prevention and solving of crime
- Undertake evidence based policing techniques such as targeting, testing and tracking in supporting the identification and delivery of ‘what works'.
To be suitable for this role you will need to have the following:
Important Skills or Experience – ?Analytical skills e.g. statistical, critical analysis; Business Objects user; Power Bi user; presentation skills, especially using PowerPoint; advanced Excel; ESRI or some form of mapping software.?
This is temporary role is for an initial 5-6 months, working full-time, paying an initial £17.58 per hour PAYE.
