  • Job Type: Part-time, Term Time (30 hours per week/39 weeks per year)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs? Reed Education are representing a beautiful School in Leatherhead that are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment based on safety, belonging, connection, and trust. We are currently expanding and seeking Teaching Assistants who are committed to supporting our pupils' journey towards becoming successful independent adults.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Support pupils with a variety of special educational needs within an all-age school setting.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of teaching assistants to provide high-quality support tailored to each pupil's Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Engage with a broad and balanced creative curriculum, ensuring every pupil can access learning opportunities.
  • Participate in professional development and training sessions to enhance classroom practice.
  • Share new knowledge and collaborate with colleagues to implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Contribute to the personal development of pupils, preparing them for the next phase of their educational journey.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A commitment to the values of the school and the well-being of all pupils.
  • Open to individuals from various employment backgrounds, including those new to the field of SEND or education.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally within the school environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to engage with pupils, staff, and the wider school community.
