Have you worked with Software Licence Management or Software Asset Management in your previous roles? Are you ready to take ownership of this critical function in a new business? We have an exciting opportunity for you to step up as a Software Licence Manager and enhance our existing core infrastructure.

Role Overview:

As a Software Licence Manager, you will be responsible for purchasing and monitoring software licences. You will work with individual vendors and framework partners to procure software that meets business needs and monitor the usage of licensed software to ensure we get the best value from our investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support software governance processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a Software Asset Management database with all relevant information on licences and assets.
  • Use asset management tools to monitor and manage software assets, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance and optimal utilisation of software licences.
  • Manage financial and compliance risks related to software assets.
  • Oversee the software deployment process by triaging requests and approving them based on licence position.
  • Conduct audits of software assets and provide regular compliance reports to management.
  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Person Profile:

  • Experience with ITSM tools such as TopDesk, ServiceNow, Jira, ManageEngine and SAM tools like Flexera, Snow, License Dashboard.
  • In-depth knowledge of licensing programmes, including Microsoft.
  • Technical expertise in software deployment, management, licensing, and contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyse and present data to the management team.
  • ITIL Foundation or higher, Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or Certified Hardware Asset Management (CHAMP) would be advantageous.
