Project Manager - Development & Regeneration

A newly created role has arisen working for an Essex based community focused organisation. This will be a varied and autonomous role with flexible and hybrid working and a real ability to make a difference and play a key part in the development and growth of local community projects.

This role will sit as a key part of the Property Management team, ultimately responsible for looking after the estate of the organisation and making the best economic and social use of their land and property assets.

The main aim of the role is to provide robust project and programme management skills to the Property team and quickly identify and prioritise key feasible projects for development and then play a key role in the development of these projects from inception to completion.

Key duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Undertaking development appraisal of opportunities including financial feasibility
  • Creating detailed project plans with defined outcomes, time lines and budgets and ensure projects are delivered accordingly
  • Developing and implementing corporate development governance and policies
  • Lead on stakeholder engagement and communication
  • Manage project budgets and cashflows
  • Create and maintain a risk register for live projects
  • Play a key role in the appointment for external consultants such as; agents, architects and solicitors

Is this the right role for you?

The organisation is looking for;

  • An experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering a variety of complex development and regeneration construction projects
  • Experience of instructing and managing a range of professional services providers
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the construction process and managing residential construction projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience of following a recognised project management methodology
  • A strong knowledge of finance and demonstrable commercial awareness
  • The ability to complete development valuations
  • A strong team player
  • Dedicated to making a difference across the communities in which they work
  • A recognised Project Management qualification would be an advantage as would RICS or RIBA membership
