Teaching Assistant required to support children on a 1-2-1 basis for a Year 6 child with special educational needs, at a brilliant Birmingham primary school. Are you a Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with Autism and ADHD. This vibrant primary school is looking to add a Teaching Assistant with Key Stage 2 experience to the team in readiness for September, to support a child on a 1-2-1 basis for the whole academic year. This role requires a patient, empathetic and caring Teaching Assistant, who can greet every day with a smile!

As a Teaching Assistant at this school you will primarily be working on a 1-2-1 basis, however may be asked to provide additional support on group activities. You will be joining a small and experienced team of Teaching Assistants and Teachers, who go above and beyond to make this school outstanding. The moment that you walk through the door toy can feel the positivity and warmth of this school. This role requires a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification and previous experience working as a teaching assistant or classroom assistant within a primary school.

Job Role:

  • Supporting a Year 6 child with additional needs on a 1-2-1 basis
  • Acting as a whole class Teaching Assistant when the child is not in school
  • Supporting the teacher in lessons and keeping the child on task
  • Providing intervention sessions on a 1-2-1 basis
  • Helping the child to get the most out of education and enjoy school life
