Your new company
A well-known Public Sector organisation are working with Hays to find a candidate who will join them as an Assistant Head of Operations This individual will join on an interim basis for 6 months, with the possibility of the position being made permanent. Hybrid working will be on offer with the offices being based in the City Centre. Flexible work is available. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Operations. Your role will entail multiple duties, such as Support the wider finance function of 10 and assistant the Head of Operations with leading the team, approving payment runs, Processing and preparing Operational Services section journals, Processing month end close including ledger close for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Purchasing and subsequent reconciliations and general associated finance admin.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you must have had previous experience in a similar position with the ability to come in and hit the ground running. You must also have the ability to communicate clearly with others in both written and verbal formats. The correct individual must also have good attention to detail as this will be required regularly.
