SEND Teaching assistant

Are you passionate about shaping young minds and supporting the next generation of learners? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team in St Albans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic and personal development of all students.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create and maintain a stimulating classroom atmosphere.
  • Support pupils in developing essential skills, such as literacy and numeracy, through tailored activities and interventions.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of teaching materials.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and take initiative when required.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is essential.
