Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a psychology graduate who has a passion for the education of special needs pupils and would like to make a positive difference to the life of a pupil with complex learning needs?

Could you use your skills and knowledge to support this pupil to reach their maximum potential?

  • ** September 2024- July 2025
  • ** Supporting a child with complex learning needs on a 1:1 basis, across the syllabus.

Requirements:

  • At least a bachelor's degree in psychology.
  • Dedication to the education and development of SEN pupils.
  • Some understanding of complex learning needs.
  • An empathetic and patient personality.
  • Natural ability to build strong bonds with young children.
  • Previous experience of working alongside young pupils is advantageous, but not essential.

The Role

  • Assisting teaching staff in day-to-day tasks.
  • Helping to plan and deliver lessons.
  • Providing constructive feedback.
  • Addressing questions surrounding lesson content.
  • Providing 1-2-1 and small group support to strengthen understanding.
  • Assisting in extracurricular activities.
