Intelligence Officer

Sanctuary Personnel is looking for a competent Intelligence Officer to join our team in THurrock.

As an Intelligence Officer, you will play a key role in providing high level analytical and actionable intelligence to support operational criminal investigators to assist in the prevention, targeting, disruption and detection of crime. Use analytical techniques to create intelligence products to inform relevant strategic and tactical planning to the standard defined within the National Intelligence Model, utilising partner agencies to prevent crime and corruption. Provide an efficient and effective service to managerial, operational and investigative decision making and identify weaknesses in existing policy and procedures. Training of staff in relation to fraud and corruption offences

The rate of pay for this role starts at £22 P/H

Responsibilities:

  • To work with colleagues to achieve service plan objectives and targets.
  • To comply with data protection legislation and the council's Information Security Policy, including supporting policies.
  • To be willing and able to work in a flexible and agile way with regard both to hours of work and location of work, including remote and home working, as required, subject to service needs and requirements.
  • To participate in performance development, talent reviews and one-to-ones and to contribute to the identification of your own and team development needs and goals.
  • To actively promote and comply with the council's diversity and equality policies.
  • To ensure full compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 etc., the council's Health and Safety Policy and all locally agreed safe methods of work.

Requirements:

  • Proven administrative experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of economic crime and the affects on local and central government.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Sound legal knowledge in the prevention and detection of crime and the apprehension and prosecution of offenders.
