I have an exciting opportunity to join a leading health care organisation as an IT Systems Engineer. The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of excellent, cost-effective IT System and Cloud services to all stakeholders across the organisation.
Skills
- Proficient in maintaining server hardware and infrastructure for optimal performance.
- Proficient in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments.
- Proficient in administering and configuring Active Directory services.
- Proficient in utilising virtualisation technologies for server and application efficiency.
- Skilled in overseeing storage technologies and ensuring efficient and secure data storage.
- Experienced in implementing and managing Azure cloud services, both public and private.
- Experienced in managing data centre operations to ensure reliability.
- Skilled in developing and executing backup strategies to safeguard data.
- Knowledgeable in overseeing network technologies to ensure robust and secure connectivity.
- A good understanding or exposure to Linux
Responsibilities
- Oversee, sustain, and enhance systems and server environments to ensure service availability, reliability, scalability, performance, and recovery.
- Perform routine break-fix and support tasks for all server and system infrastructure.
- Conduct regular maintenance and system upgrades.
- Develop and uphold IT Systems policies, procedures, and related documentation.
- Manage and resolve system-related incidents and issues.
- Provide top-tier support for the companies central infrastructure and critical business systems.
- Assist in implementing major server, system, and cloud-based projects and change initiatives.
- Ensure the achievement of established server infrastructure goals.
- Actively engage in escalations within the IT Service Delivery team as needed.
- Ensure IT Service Management processes and practices are followed within the IT Infrastructure and Service Delivery teams.
- Assess and propose innovative system technologies and solutions that support technology and business strategic goals
