Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a graduate Environmental Compliance Auditor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation's adherence to ISO14001 standards and will bring valuable experience working within the environmental sector.

You will ideally have an relevant degree, either Business, Environmental or Law based AND Knowledge of ISO14001 & Environmental Management Systems.

This is a hybrid role, requiring a commitment of 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Environmental Auditing:
  • Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with ISO14001 standards.

  • Evaluate environmental policies, procedures, and practices to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.

  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, documenting findings and recommendations for improvement.

  • Communicate audit results to relevant stakeholders and assist in the development of corrective action plans.

  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in environmental performance.

  • Stay informed about changes in environmental regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

  1. Training and Awareness:
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on environmental compliance matters.

  • Raise awareness of environmental best practices and foster a culture of sustainability within the organization.

  1. Collaboration:
  • Work closely with environmental, health, and safety teams to integrate environmental considerations into broader organizational initiatives.

  • Engage with external auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven track record of working in the environmental sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex environmental concepts to diverse audiences.
