Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Merseyside
Salary: £14.50+ per hour
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and make a significant impact on the educational journey of students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about fostering an inclusive learning environment and supporting students to reach their full potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work within a network of partnerships to support and create learning opportunities for all students.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to provide targeted support to students with additional needs.
- Adapt learning materials to ensure accessibility for students with SEND.
- Encourage a positive and nurturing learning atmosphere.
- Promote student independence and self-confidence.
- Assist during class activities, exams, and assessments.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and interventions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for working with students with SEND.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 or equivalent) in education, special needs, or related fields.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning needs.
- Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable.
