Are you an experienced Finance Manager seeking a fresh opportunity to join a growing team and take charge of the accounting operations for a new arm to the well established business. This role is crucial for contributing to the financial strategy and development of internal control policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (formally or QBE) with a strong background in managing accounting operations and a strategic mindset to support business growth.
Day to Day of the role:
- Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
- Prepare and publish monthly financial statements.
- Create annual and monthly reports to identify results, trends, and forecasts.
- Ensure accurate recording, filing, and reporting of all transactions.
- Maintain compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Streamline and improve operations and accounting systems.
- Coordinate the management of cash flow, debt, and debt collection.
- Oversee the audit process and liaise with external personnel as required.
- Support the business with financial strategy and decision-making processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or highly experienced QBE professional.
- Analytical, with problem-solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong personal and communication skills, confident leadership, and management abilities.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to influence at all levels.
