Graduate Teaching Assistant -
We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic graduate teaching assistants for a friendly mainstream primary school in Croydon, located between Thornton heath and West Croydon station. The school is Ofsted rated "Good", and has a lovely friendly feeling.
Contract type: Full- Time
Start Date: September 2024
8:30am - 4pm
We require dedicated teaching assistants to work alongside teachers, and children, to support children with their learning. The school have a very inclusive environment where pupils have the ability to thrive both academically and socially.
Their team together with the SLT to provide high quality education to all pupils and push them to achieve their full potential.
This role will help to develop your skills if you have considered a career in teaching. The school will guide, nurture, and teach you through the process, no experience in necessary, you just need to right attitude!
Not only will you gain valuable experience, but you will also feel the rewards of working with children by creating a positive environment for them to learn to the best of their abilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Offer one-to-one and group support to students across various subjects.
- Collaborate in the planning and delivery of educational activities and lessons.
- Assist teachers in preparing materials and resources throughout the day, and ensuring all students are learning at level.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Promote active student engagement and participation during activities.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- A DBS - we can help you apply for one at tempest.
- Adaptability to work as part of a team.
- A passion for education and desire to create a positive environment for students.
- Previous experience working with children but not necessary.
