We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in developing new materials and technologies, improving existing products, and driving
innovation across our organization. As an R&D Engineer, you will support the successful execution of
technical projects by applying your expertise in mechanical solutions and materials knowledge to
deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Job Description/Key Tasks
- Ensuring the successful execution of projects and achievement of goals
- Develop and deliver innovative engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to drive the development of new products and processes.
- Conduct research, experiments, and analysis to develop and improve products and optimise manufacturing processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements and apply this knowledge to enhance our product portfolio.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity.
The Person
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Strong understanding of product design principles and ability to collaborate effectively with design teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of Mechanical/Materials engineering principles and concepts
- Experience/familiarity with engineering software and tools, such as 3D Modelling and Autodesk Inventor
- Practical ability and hands-on experience
- Versatility and eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and concepts.
Advantageous:
- 2+ years of experience in a relevant industry sector.
- Experience in machine shop practices, machine design principles, and 3D printing.
- Familiarity with communicating fundamental principles and their relevance in manufacturing processes.
- Previous work experience or knowledge of Mechanical, Refractory, or Ceramic production.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
