The Role

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope, recognising commercial opportunities and challenges as they arise. Work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and clients to deliver high-quality results that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines.

  • Monitor and track project progress.

  • Attend client meetings and deliver honest and reliable progress reports both internally and externally

  • Team Collaboration:

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and effective communication.

  • Identify priorities, tasks and responsibilities.

  • Provide guidance, support, and feedback to team members.

  • Stakeholder Management:

  • Build lasting relationships with clients through excellent communication and service

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.

  • Understand our client's goals, the project requirements and act as the wise adviser to ensure all aspects of the project are delivered to our client's expectations

  • Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality standards.

  • Implement and oversee quality control processes.

  • Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present regular project reports and updates.

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Person Specification, skills and experience:

  • Confidence to attend face to face & online meetings
  • Effective communicator, clear and concise, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to develop relationships and maintain close interaction with key contacts at all levels
  • Responsible in taking ownership of allocated projects
  • Excellent attention to detail & quality
  • Good organizer and record keeper
  • Self-disciplined forward planner and risk assessor
  • Problem solver & decision maker, able to consider implications of any action taken
  • Able to use initiative, recognise when support is needed and seek that support in a timely manner
  • Capacity to understand product/specification/drawings/installation applications
  • Capacity to understand where our customer; client; consultant & specifier; tier1 & sub-contractors and distributors fit within our sectors.
  • Effective worker when under pressure
  • Skilled at Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Hands on experience of a CRM/ERP system would be advantageous

The role will be office based at our factory in Sutton, Surrey and there would be a regular requirement to attend meetings and site visits at client premises or project site locations throughout UK. There would be a full induction process commencing at our factory location.
