Location: Your work location can be flexible within the Anglian region, the successful applicant will be expected to attend meetings at either Peterborough or Huntingdon on a regular basis.

What will you be doing?

You will help shape the environmental destination for our region by project managing scientific investigations, including regional modelling studies (such as hydrological and hydro ecology modelling) and various research projects. These investigations will help us to understand how to achieve sustainable abstraction across the region. Working closely with the regional group (WRE) and other stakeholders across the region, you will ensure a multi-sector approach is taken.

Working with consultants and our Environmental Lead, you will project manage the environmental assessments for the next Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP29), ensuring data collection and flow is optimised. You will also liaise with consultants and internal subject matter experts to progress supply-side options that need significant environmental input.

What does it take to be an Environmental Project Manager?

  • Educated within an environmental discipline?
  • A passion for the environment and driving change
  • Ideally experienced as project coordinator or project manager
  • Ability to influence and manage a range of stakeholders
