Job Title: Personal Advisor for Social Work (Leaving Care)
Location: Carlisle, with travel across Cumbria
Rate: £24 per hour
Join our team as a Personal Advisor, supporting young people aged 16-25 as they transition from care to independence. You'll play a crucial role in guiding them through this life-changing period, ensuring they have the support and resources they need to succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide flexible advice, empowering young people to make informed decisions about their future.
- Understand their needs, coordinate assessments, and develop tailored pathway plans.
- Offer advice on health, housing, careers, and finances, ensuring their needs are fully met.
- Work closely with agencies across housing, education, and health to deliver seamless support.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in social work, youth work, or a related field.
- Experience with young people in care, knowledge of the Leaving Care Act.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel within Cumbria.
