Audit Supervisor

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

As an Audit Hospitality Supervisor, you will support the Audit Managers with managing their portfolio and clients. This is an intermediate role between a Senior and Assistant Manager, providing the experience of the role of a manager without the responsibility of managing a portfolio.

The specialism in hospitality ensures they are providing relevant, up to the minute and practical support to their clients. They pride themselves on having deep-rooted knowledge in the sector and developing strong relationships with their clients. As an Audit Hospitality Supervisor, you will be required to work with hotels, restaurants, pubs and bars, leisure, and F&B businesses, of all sizes from single site and family-run, to independent groups, franchises and large corporates.

Day-to-day responsibilities below are generalised and are in no way exhaustive:

  • Assisting two/three audit managers in the servicing of their clients. This may include audit planning, onsite reviews, audit completion, attending client meetings.
  • Liaising with tax and other departments.
  • Working with clients to answer questions and requests.
  • Supervising audit staff including providing them with feedback.
  • Assisting managers on one off projects such as tendering for new work and research into particular sectors or companies.
  • Getting involved and leading non-client projects within the audit department.
  • Current and past supervisors have led or supported the creation of the audit intranet, the development of the job feedback system for staff, development and implementation of the Asana free for work system, specific training for individuals, and development of videos on key audit topics to help explain our processes.
  • Other tasks as required to support the work of the firm.

  • Demonstrate excellent technical accounting and auditing skills.
  • Have a desire to help the audit department develop, improve and grow.
  • Comfortable working with all client types in the hospitality sector.

Work-Based Competencies:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to execute audits with limited support.
