About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You'll work closely with teachers, parents, and the school's inclusion team to create an inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and fosters personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small-group support to students with additional needs, including those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
  • Assist in adapting classroom resources and strategies to meet individual student requirements.
  • Collaborate with teachers and the inclusion team to implement individual learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
  • Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of student progress.

About You

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive individual with experience in inclusion or supporting students with SEND. You'll be committed to making a difference in the lives of young people and have the skills to adapt to their diverse needs.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with students with SEND or inclusion needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for education and inclusion.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or child development.
  • Knowledge of strategies to support students with a range of additional needs.
