You will work closely with key partners and stakeholders to maximise opportunities for coordinated support and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Improvement: Work as part of a specialist team focused on older and vulnerable customers, identifying ways to develop and continuously improve the service.
  • Estate Management: Conduct regular monitoring and inspections of sheltered housing schemes to ensure secure, clean, and well-maintained communal areas and services, including planning for maintenance that considers resident needs.
  • Support Services: Report and monitor household repairs for residents less able to do so, and coordinate the deployment of a handy person to provide a tailored service.
  • Community Engagement: Facilitate and promote social activities within the scheme, coordinating the use of communal spaces to enhance the quality of life for residents.
  • Tenancy Management: Manage the rehousing process, working with property services to ensure homes are prepared and ready for new tenants. Assist with signing up new tenancies and facilitating changes to existing ones, including successions and name changes.
  • Tenancy Compliance: Identify breaches of tenancy, such as anti-social behaviour or illegal occupancy, and work with the sheltered housing manager to address these issues.
  • Resident Support: Ensure effective resettlement of new customers, providing them with comprehensive information about scheme facilities, tenancy-related matters, and local services to maximise their satisfaction.
  • Rent Management: Maximise rent income by managing rent accounts effectively. Proactively address rent arrears and signpost tenants to relevant support services. Prepare and deliver notices of seeking possession where necessary.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and welfare policies, including responding to emergencies and managing schemes effectively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, residents' groups, support providers, and community organisations.
  • Performance Management: Routinely record key tasks and gather data to measure service performance and improve delivery.

Qualifications:
