Essential Responsibilities:
As a File Handler Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in handling files.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Acknowledging instructions and liaising with clients, courts, and parties
- Drafting appropriate court documentation
- Filing necessary documents at court and serving third parties when needed
- Collaborating with insured individuals and witnesses to draft witness statements
- Conducting negotiations with claimants' solicitors for swift and suitable settlements
- Gathering additional information from insurers and third parties to progress negotiations
- Ensuring timely responses by following up on outstanding instructions
- Providing general assistance to support lead File Handlers
- Maintaining accurate case management records for reporting purposes
