Senior Network and Systems Administrator
My client, a leading software development company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network and Systems Administrator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to deliver top-tier technical support and manage a variety of cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support for Windows Desktop & Server (Windows 2016+).
- Design, implement, and support LAN/WAN networks.
- Manage and adhere to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for fault restoration and resolution.
- Maintain, update, and secure systems and databases.
- Identify and manage escalated faults, liaising with third-party suppliers for major incidents or network improvements.
- Monitor data traffic and control network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in a senior network/system administration role within a mid/large enterprise.
- Certifications such as MSSE or CCNP.
- Advanced understanding of IOS, VLAN, STP, BGP, OSPF routing, and switch technologies.
- Experience implementing security controls on network access systems such as firewalls, IDS, WAF, and network segmentation.
- Strong technical expertise in O365, M365, and Azure administration with a focus on security controls.
- Hands-on experience with fibre networking.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and infrastructure as code (Terraform/Ansible).
- Familiarity with web hosting across various Webserver and Database technologies.
- Experience with open-source security tools (e.g., Suricata/Wazuh).
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting or another versatile scripting language.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux and monitoring tools such as Splunk/Grafana/ELK.
