Job Summary: We are seeking a Finance Officer with previous financial experience, ideally within a primary care environment. The successful candidate will support the smooth financial operation of the practice, including bookkeeping, payroll, and pensions management. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Xero accounts package are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage practice finances, maximizing income and reducing expenditure.
- Prepare financial information for management accounting.
- Handle monthly payroll and pensions.
- Present financial forecasts and P&L to partners.
- Manage PCSE queries and practice payroll.
- Maintain effective relationships with NHS(E), CCG, and practice accountant.
Requirements:
- Previous financial experience, preferably in primary care.
- Proficiency in Xero accounts package.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information: This role may require occasional additional hours to cover holidays, sickness, or increased workload, including occasional Saturdays for flu and COVID clinics.
