Our client, a Lloyd's Broker specialising in Marine Insurance, is looking for a Senior Account Handler/ Broker Back Up to join their expanding Marine department in their London office. The purpose of the role is to manage a portfolio of marine accounts and support the Hull & War team.
Main Duties:
- Manage a portfolio of accounts within a sub-team of 5, including Brokers and Account Handlers
- Prepare open market MRC slips, facility declarations, and endorsements
- Submit MRC slips to the Whitespace platform or via email to Underwriters
- Handle renewals, adjustments, and risk processing in the broking system
- Submit A&S premium LPANs to DXC Technologies
- Provide technical support to Placing Brokers in the Hull & War team
- Collaborate with the Accounts/Finance team for payments and reconciliations
- Attend team meetings and assist with ad-hoc projects
Essential Skills Required:
- 5+ years of experience in the London Insurance Market
- Marine Hull & War experience, with multinational exposure
- Strong knowledge of MRC slip preparation and premium processing
- Ability to use placing platforms (Whitespace preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively
Desirable:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- CII qualifications (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Italian is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

- Salary is around £55,000, dependent on experience
