The Role
As an Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of technical audit and accountancy services. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing a small portfolio of clients.
- Ensuring assignments are fully completed before submission to Partners.
- Efficiently planning assignments to meet budgets and recoverability of fees, and communicating plans to the team.
- Allocating work to team members and providing regular reviews and feedback to ensure compliance standards are met.
- Fully interacting with clients, alongside the senior audit team, to keep them informed of progress.
- Completing and submitting timesheets within set deadlines.
- Reporting to Managers and Partners.
- Delegating, coaching, and assisting in managing the team.
- Maintaining regular contact with clients in your portfolio, providing ongoing updates on progress.
Essential Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will be well-organised, capable of working to agreed timescales, and adept at engaging with clients. You will possess:
- High professional standards of conduct and practice.
- Awareness of relevant financial targets and constraints, actively assisting management in achieving these, and keeping Partner/clients informed of progress and potential problems, including actual vs. budget.
- Ability to convert options into recommendations and resolutions to exceed client expectations where possible.
