As part of Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI), the new Group Technology Infrastructure (GTI) Hybrid Cloud Organisation brings together 'on-premise' and 'cloud' teams and aims to create a strong product-led team responsible for all infrastructure platforms and capabilities in the bank globally. The product-led culture is underpinned by a consistent approach using agile, which enables Hybrid Cloud to shift-left and have a unified delivery model that encourages innovation and learning. Our goal is to build & offer simple self-service shared platforms for clients to consume and in turn run their own business applications on. We'll use a combination of open source and vendor technologies coupled with Cloud native services where appropriate and use automation for efficiency and accuracy.

You'll be a well-seasoned software engineer with a wealth of experience and join a team of other enthusiastic individuals striving to innovate, design and build solutions that meet comprehensive requirements. You'll be very familiar with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile practices and able to translate requirements into technical solutions whilst communicating effectively both in and outside your team. You'll have development skills, familiar with Integrated Development Environments (IDE's) and development tool sets. You'll be a mentor in the team and help others build solutions and identify coding inaccuracies efficiently through code reviews. You'll excel as an engineer and a role model for others to follow with exposure to team leading.

Your key responsibilities

  • Support migrating on premise CMS offering to the vendor SAAS Solution (based on Google Cloud Platform)
  • Enhance existing web content management platform (dotCMS) with plugins and extensions based on client's requirements
  • Engage in various projects around CMS platform (e.g. hotfix/upgrades, performance and stability improvement, etc.)
  • Support clients in individual project setups
  • Support Operation Team in L2/L3

Your skills and experience

  • Exposure to at least one of the major Cloud technologies: GCP, Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Development experience with coding for web-based applications: JAVA
  • Experience using dotCMS content management system
  • Frontend Development Skills (Javascript, JS frameworks, CSS, HTML)
  • Familiar with Agile Methodology (Scrum)
  • Experience in working in enterprise company context with shared services & platforms
