Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Lite to join an expanding team. This role involves producing P&IDs, layouts, and general arrangement drawings, as well as contributing to the development of a 3D library for standard plant items. Day to Day of the Role:
- Produce detailed and accurate drawings in a timely manner for the projecting team.
- Develop and maintain a 3D library for standard plant items.
- Liaise with clients to ensure design details are accurate and meet quality standards.
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings to assist fabrication, including general arrangements and part drawings.
- Produce piping and steelwork fabrication drawings, including Isometrics and orthographic projections.
- Review and check design drawings of piping systems, supports, and steelwork in line with industry standards and client specifications.
- Prepare and check bill of materials and provide technical input during detailed engineering of projects.
- Support the preparation of manufacturing work packs with technical input and guidance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent working knowledge of SolidWorks; CSWP/CSWE accreditation is beneficial.
- Good understanding of 2D CAD packages, particularly AutoCAD.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
