Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are currently supporting an excellent, local organisation in the Worcestershire area with the recruitment of a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

Our client, a leading healthcare business with operations in both the UK and overseas, focuses primarily on the long-term care sector and incorporates a number of market-leading brands.

Your new role
Reporting directly into the UK Managing Director, you will be responsible for providing key day-to-day accounting support across a number of areas including management accounts, VAT, payroll and financial analysis.

Key duties:

  • Production of the monthly management accounts pack
  • Month-end reporting including the processing of journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Processing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
  • Main point of contact for annual audit and support with the production of annual statutory accounts/corporation tax returns
  • Maintaining fixed assets
  • Producing analysis for stock takes and updating cost pricing/revaluation of stock
  • Producing sales reports and cash forecasts
  • Processing payroll, pensions and PAYE submissions and processing, submitting and calculating P11D's

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified/part-qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE
  • Strong understanding of management accounts, VAT and payroll
  • Confident communicator
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookUps etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Sage 50 (desirable)
