- Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify potential suppliers and conduct negotiations.
- Manage the procurement process, from product selection to delivery.
- Analyse market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to meet company goals, including new menu launches.
Profile
A successful Buyer should have:
- Proven direct procurement experience, ideally buying food categories or ingredients.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Strong analytical abilities for making informed purchasing decisions.
- A good understanding of supply chain processes.
